Our Comprehensive PLAB 2 Course is designed to support you throughout your PLAB 2 preparation, from your first online lecture right through to passing your exam.

How the Course Works

The course is divided into 2 parts. Online teaching part followed by hands-on in-person teaching at the centre.

1. Start Learning Online (At least 3 months before your exam)

As soon as you enrol, you receive access to:

• Video lectures by Dr Sara Awan, Lead Course Trainer and Senior NHS GP, covering PLAB 2 approaches and key exam areas.

• Comprehensive lecture materials for learning and revision.

• Access to your online learning resources until you pass your exam.

You can study the videos and materials at your own pace, wherever you are.

2. Attend Live Teaching with Dr Sara

Select the COURSE START DATE to join live online teaching with Dr Sara according to the course schedule.

The teaching covers the key clinical, communication, ethical, safeguarding and professional areas required for PLAB 2.

3. Learn Through Supervised Practice Sessions

Observe and participate in Supervised Practice Sessions (SPS) at MedAstra, where you can see candidates perform stations and listen to Dr Sara's qualitative feedback.

If you are already in Manchester, you can attend SPS sessions at the centre and benefit from supervised practical learning.

4. Practise Clinical Skills

Receive in-person supervised teaching in examinations and procedures, helping you develop the practical skills needed for PLAB 2.

You can practise using our clinical manikins, including SIMman and METIman, in a realistic training environment.

5. Unlimited Access Until You Pass

Once you come to Manchester, you have unlimited access to MedAstra's facilities and manikins until you pass your PLAB 2 exam.

Our centre is open 7 days a week, giving you the flexibility to practise around your own schedule.

6. Unlimited Mini-Mocks

Take part in unlimited PLAB 2 Mini-Mocks throughout your preparation, with qualitative feedback to help you identify areas for improvement and refine your approach.

7. Two Super Mocks

Your course includes 2 Super Mocks designed to closely replicate the experience of an exam-style circuit.

You will practise with British simulators, with a separate examiner and simulator for each station, followed by written personalised feedback from experienced examiners.

8. Ongoing Support

You will also have access to a dedicated WhatsApp support group, where you can ask questions and receive guidance from mentors and Dr Sara throughout your preparation.

When Should You Come to Manchester?

There is no fixed start date for in-person teaching.

Our in-person teaching schedule runs throughout the month, with sessions repeated regularly. This means you can join the centre at a time that suits your exam date.

We recommend coming to Manchester at least one month before your PLAB 2 exam so you can maximise the benefit of:
